Overview • Rybelsus 7 mg: oral tablets, each containing 7 mg of semaglutide, pack of 30 tablets • Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist used in adults with inadequately controlled type 2 diabetes, in addition to diet and physical activity Key Features • Just one tablet a day, taken by mouth • Maintenance dose: used after one month on 3 mg, and can be raised to 14 mg after at least one month if needed • Taken on an empty stomach with a sip of water, then wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking or taking any other oral medicine • Can be used alone when metformin is unsuitable, or with other diabetes medicines • No dose adjustment needed for age or kidney or liver function • Keep in the original blister pack to protect from light and moisture
