Overview • Rybelsus 3 mg: oral tablets, each containing 3 mg of semaglutide, pack of 30 tablets • Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist used in adults with inadequately controlled type 2 diabetes, in addition to diet and physical activity Key Features • Just one tablet a day, taken by mouth • Starting dose: 3 mg once daily for one month; it is not enough on its own for blood sugar control and is raised to 7 mg afterwards • Taken on an empty stomach with a sip of water, then wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking or taking any other oral medicine • Can be used alone when metformin is unsuitable, or with other diabetes medicines • No dose adjustment needed for age or kidney or liver function • Keep in the original blister pack to protect from light and moisture
