Overview
• Diane-35 coated tablets by Bayer; each tablet contains cyproterone acetate 2 mg and ethinylestradiol 0.035 mg, and the standard pack is a 21-tablet cycle.
• A hormonal medicine combining an anti-androgen (cyproterone) with an oestrogen (ethinylestradiol); it also acts as a combined hormonal contraceptive.

• Used for androgen-related skin conditions in women of childbearing age such as acne, very oily skin and excessive hair growth
• Prescribed only when a doctor considers a hormonal contraceptive appropriate and acne has not improved with other treatments (topical or antibiotics)
